With over 20 years of experience in medical aesthetics and skin rejuvenation, I am passionate about ensuring that my patients get the best results and achieve their anti-aging goals. I believe in providing an understanding of the aging process and helping my patients age as gracefully as they choose. Aging is inevitable but looking aged is a choice.
In 2013, I opened Skin Appeal, which quickly rose to the top of the game because of my direct and no-nonsense approach to taking care of the skin on a variety of different levels. As an avid long-distance runner and triathlete, I know what the brutal environment of the desert can do to the skin. This was the perfect muse for me to build a skincare line around. Shortly after opening Skin Appeal, I decided to create a plant-based cosmeceutical skincare line that restores the skin’s natural functions. I wanted highly effective products that improve the health of the skin and deliver results that my patients would love. The product line, Mikel Kristi, which started with grassroots beginnings, has quickly escalated to cult status among its many devotees. After nearly 20 years in the medical aesthetics business, thousands of hours problem-solving with clients, and countless awards in the field, I felt it was time to spread the word about intelligent skincare and anti-aging to the masses. My book, “Your Beauty Advocate: A No-Nonsense Guide to Age Defying Skin Care,” quickly became a best-seller and an invaluable guide to many. I am passionate and driven about revealing how to deeply impact the health and well-being of the skin and achieving ageless beauty by empowering you with knowledge.
When I am not working with clients, I am playing with my beloved dogs, making wine with my husband, enjoying nature, and traveling the world to see and experience all of what life has to offer.
Heather Ramirez
Registered Nurse
I am a certified aesthetic registered nurse born in San Diego but settling my roots in Tucson, AZ. I value education and hands on experience and have a background of nursing spanning from emergency room, endoscopy, and travel nursing in New York City. My passion for aesthetics grew as I started getting my own treatments done and wanted to start helping others elevate their beauty goals from skin care, skin rejuvenation and fillers/neurotoxins. I have years of experience in the aesthetic industry, received certifications from National Laser Institute in basic and advanced injection styles for neuromodulators and facial fillers. I also value staying up to date on the latest treatments in aesthetics and pride myself in sharing knowledge with my patients to achieve their desired results.
I love to travel and find local gems, when I am not injecting, you can find me poolside with my 3 children or trying out a new local attraction.
Erica Pichardo
Practice Manager
With over 15 years of experience in cosmetic dermatology and aesthetics, I’ve had the privilege of managing high-performing practices and leading dynamic teams dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. I’m passionate about cultivating a positive work culture and supporting team growth. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family including our two lovable English Bulldogs and staying active as a regular at the gym.
Danielle LeBlond
Medical Aesthetician & Certified Laser Technician
I am an Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician at Skin Appeal. In my role, I specialize in a variety of skin rejuvenation treatments and services including medical grade facials, micro-needling, chemical peels, body contouring, and laser treatments.
Starting my career as an aesthetician, more than 17 years ago, I gained experience working in salons and spas as well as working directly for prestige skincare brands. I spent many years as a professional makeup artist and later became a Certified Laser Technician. I am extremely passionate about the aesthetics industry and value the power of feeling and looking beautiful. Outside of Skin Appeal, I’m a devoted rescue dog mom, fitness buff, I love live music, dancing, and spending time with the people I love.

I’m a Patient Care Coordinator and Mikel Kristi Customer Service rep. My journey started as a medical assistant in dermatology, and I have always had a passion for skincare, and all things beauty. Being a part of Skin Appeal and Mikel Kristi has been the perfect way for me to combine that love with my experience in the field and help our patients feel confident and radiant in their own skin.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me spending time with my family and fur baby, checking out the latest movies, hitting a workout, or taking a trip to the beach!
Karla Arias
Patient Care Coordinator
I am a Patient Care Coordinator here at Skin Appeal. Though I’m relatively new to the med spa industry, I have such a love for skincare and commitment to helping others achieve healthy and glowy skin. With a bachelor’s degree in Retailing from the University of Arizona, I’ve always had an eye for beauty and wellness, but I’m now on a path to expand my expertise even further. Soon, I plan to pursue certification as a Laser Technician and Aesthetician.
In my downtime, you’ll find me spending quality time with family and friends, exploring new places, and seeking out hidden gem coffee shops around town. Traveling and shopping are also some of my favorite ways to unwind. I’m so excited to be part of this industry, and I look forward to helping you feel confident in your own skin!

I am a phlebotomist and patient care coordinator here at Skin Appeal. I am currently studying to become a registered nurse and aspire to perform your injectables here in the future. My passion and knowledge of the beauty and aesthetic industry began over 9 years ago when I started working with a cosmetic plastic surgeon. My goal is to make everyone who walks through the door feel comfortable and provide them with the best service and experience.
In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting, hiking, and a good laugh. I’m a sucker for the best city views and love nothing more than being beachside. I can’t wait to meet you and make your experience impeccable here at Skin Appeal!

I am a Patient Care Coordinator here at Skin Appeal. I have my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from NAU and am currently applying to Master’s programs to further my education. I would love to continue working in aesthetics as an injector post-grad as I have grown so fond of every aspect within this field. One trait I love most about Skin appeal is the way we uplift so many of our patients simply by enhancing their natural features.
On days when I am not at work helping our patients, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, and shopping.

I am a PCC here at Skin Appeal. I’m originally from Yuma, Arizona, but I’ve been living in Tucson since 2024 and absolutely love it here. I started my career in hormone replacement therapy, which sparked my passion for helping people feel their best from the inside out. That passion led me to become a licensed Aesthetician and Laser Technician so I could combine wellness with skincare and aesthetics.
At Skin Appeal, I love helping clients feel confident and healthy in their own skin. Whether it’s through treatment support, helping you with your makeup, or just answering questions, I’m here to help every step of the way.
Outside of work, you can usually find me doing makeup, hanging out with my dog Floyd, or watching movies.
