Why Zinc is Your Botox’s Best Friend
Botox, a widely recognized cosmetic treatment, is renowned for its ability to reduce wrinkles, thereby imparting a more youthful appearance and boosting self-confidence.
Typically, its effects last around 3 to 4 months, though individual variations exist with some metabolizing it faster than others.

Recent studies, however, have shed light on a promising way to extend the longevity of Botox treatments. Zinc, an essential nutrient crucial for immune function and metabolic processes, has now been identified as a “Botox booster” in clinical trials published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. These trials revealed that approximately 92 percent of participants who took zinc supplements before their Botox injections experienced quicker onset of effects and prolonged duration compared to their usual treatments.

So, what does this regimen entail? The recommended approach involves taking zinc supplements for four days leading up to the Botox treatment. The regimen typically consists of two capsules daily, one in the morning and one in the evening. By regulating zinc levels and phytase activity in the body prior to treatment, individuals may potentially enhance the efficacy and duration of their Botox results.
It’s important to note that while this approach has shown promising results in studies, individual responses may vary, and not everyone may experience the same benefits.
