For more than 26 years, I have dedicated my career to helping people age with confidence through evidence-based aesthetic medicine, skin rejuvenation, regenerative therapies, and patient education. As a board-certified Physician Associate (PA-C, MPAS), I have spent more than two decades specializing exclusively in advanced aesthetic medicine, combining medical science, artistry, and an individualized approach to help patients achieve healthy, natural-looking results.

Throughout my career, I have treated tens of thousands of patients, trained medical professionals nationally and internationally, authored educational resources, formulated medical-grade skincare, and continually pursued advanced education in facial anatomy and regenerative medicine. Whether I am consulting with a patient, developing a skincare formulation, or studying the latest advances in collagen restoration, my mission remains the same:

Experience & Expertise

My career in aesthetics began in 2001, when I discovered a passion not simply for cosmetic procedures, but for understanding why the face changes as we age.

Early in my career, I practiced alongside Dr. Jody Comstock at Skin Spectrum Medical, where I developed advanced expertise in cosmetic injectables, laser resurfacing, facial rejuvenation, and comprehensive treatment planning. Those years established the clinical foundation that continues to guide my work today.

When I founded Skin Appeal in 2013, my vision was different from the traditional medical spa model.

I wanted to create a practice built around education, trust, individualized care, and long-term relationships—not simply treatments.

Today, every consultation begins with understanding the patient first: their biology, their goals, their lifestyle, their concerns. Only then do we discuss procedures.

Because the right treatment is the one that serves the whole person—not the latest trend.

One of the greatest responsibilities in aesthetic medicine is understanding the anatomy beneath the skin.

Throughout my career, I have pursued advanced cadaver anatomy education to deepen my understanding of facial structures, vascular anatomy, aging, and injection safety.

Cadaver dissection provides insights that simply cannot be gained from textbooks or classroom instruction. It allows clinicians to understand:

One of my core beliefs is that expertise is never finished. Medicine evolves continuously. So should the practitioner.

Every year I dedicate significant time to physician-led masterclasses, cadaver anatomy courses, certification programs, scientific conferences, advanced laser education, and regenerative medicine training.

Throughout my career I have completed extensive advanced education through Allergan Medical Institute (AMI), including physician-led training with internationally recognized experts such as Dr. Mauricio de Maio, whose work has transformed modern facial assessment and injection techniques.

My continuing education has also included advanced study in:

Educator, Trainer & Speaker

Education has always been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

In addition to caring for patients, I have trained physicians, physician associates, nurse practitioners, nurses, and aesthetic providers in advanced injection techniques, consultation strategies, facial assessment, and patient safety.

As a National Allergan Trainer and international educator working alongside plastic surgeons in Ireland, I have had the opportunity to teach advanced aesthetic techniques while continually learning from some of the most respected minds in aesthetic medicine.

Teaching has strengthened my own clinical practice because it requires constant refinement of knowledge, technique, and critical thinking.

Author & Patient Advocate

I have always believed that education creates confidence.

That belief inspired me to write Your Beauty Advocate, a guide designed to help patients understand the science behind skincare, injectables, lasers, aging, and aesthetic medicine.

The book reflects a philosophy that has guided my entire career: Patients deserve honest information—not marketing.

When people understand how skin ages and why treatments work, they make better decisions and achieve better long-term outcomes.

Education remains one of the most valuable services I provide.

Innovation & Research

Clinical practice naturally led me into product development.

After years of treating patients—particularly in the challenging Arizona climate—I recognized that many skincare products were not supporting the physiology of healthy skin the way I believed they should.

This inspired me to create Mikel Kristi™ Skincare, a medical-grade, plant-based skincare line focused on restoring healthy skin function, strengthening the skin barrier, supporting collagen production, and complementing professional aesthetic treatments.

Innovation is an ongoing process. I continually evaluate new technologies, regenerative therapies, biologic treatments, and scientific research to determine how they can safely improve patient outcomes.

Living What I Teach

One of the reasons I feel so strongly about healthy aging is because I live this philosophy every day.

Everything I recommend to my patients has been shaped not only by scientific evidence and clinical experience, but also by my own aging journey. Over the years I have applied the same principles I teach: protecting collagen, prioritizing skin health, investing in evidence-based treatments, and supporting my body through nutrition, movement, strength training, yoga, Pilates, stress management, peptide therapies, and regenerative medicine. Continuing to learn. Continuing to evolve.

Today, many people are surprised to learn that I believe I look—and more importantly, feel—better in my fifties than I did in my thirties.

That transformation wasn’t created by one procedure. It was the result of decades of consistent habits, thoughtful treatments, continual education, and respecting the biology of aging instead of trying to fight it.

Living these principles gives me perspective that extends beyond textbooks. I understand the emotional side of aging because I have experienced it myself. I understand the uncertainty patients feel because I have asked those same questions.

I would never recommend a treatment, technology, or philosophy that I would not be willing to embrace in my own life.

Beyond Aesthetics

After caring for thousands of patients, I realized something important: confidence is never created by appearance alone. Internal health, emotional well-being, stress, sleep, movement, nutrition, purpose, and connection all influence how we age—and how we see ourselves.

This understanding inspired me to create DeepBeauty Immersions™, an integrative approach that combines advanced aesthetic medicine with internal wellness, nervous system regulation, movement practices, mindfulness, peptide therapies, and personal transformation.
